SPA pampering
A private SPA getaway with breakfast, a wooden tub filled with thermal water and a Turkish sauna.
The drinking fountain is located in the historical Spa Park, designed in 1820 by Count Franc K. K. Dienersberg, modeled after European spa parks. Amidst mighty trees, park paths, and energy points, drinking water is not just a practical stop, but part of a calm experience of the space.
“Salus per aquam” or health through water is a thought that has accompanied the development of Terme Dobrna for centuries. The thermal water drinking fountain brings it closer in a simple park ritual. With a glass of water, a short stop amidst the greenery, and the awareness that the history of the place still flows through the same natural source.

The drinking fountain is located in the historical Spa Park, designed in 1820 by Count Franc K. K. Dienersberg, modeled after European spa parks. Amidst mighty trees, park paths, and energy points, drinking water is not just a practical stop, but part of a calm experience of the space.
Today’s drinking fountain is housed in a pavilion that was once the photography studio of artists Kvas and Pelikan. Together with the drinking pavilion and the weather station, it forms a complex of three cultural heritage units. The renovated space thus connects a modern way of dispensing water with the history of architecture and everyday life at Terme Dobrna.
The healing effects of Dobrna thermal water have been recorded since 1403. Its natural warmth and mineral composition have become the foundation of the Terme Dobrna spa tradition over the centuries. Today, the water is used in relaxation, prevention, rehabilitation, and treatment programmes, and at the drinking fountain, you can experience it in its simplest form.
Contact with thermal water is part of a holistic well-being experience. Minerals and trace elements are dissolved in the water in a form that the body can absorb, making the water an important part of many spa programmes. Its role is not only in healing but also in relaxation, balance, and a conscious retreat from the everyday rhythm.
According to Terme Dobrna data, drinking thermal water can invigorate the body, support digestion and water elimination, and, due to its calcium ion content, help with chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal and urinary tracts. Beneficial effects on the heart, blood vessels, and general psychophysical well-being are also cited. For health problems, drinking should always be coordinated with the recommendation of a medical professional.
Head to the drinking fountain slowly through the Spa Park. You can combine your visit with five energy points, historical buildings, or a morning walk under the treetops. Thus, a few sips of thermal water become a natural part of the wider Terme Dobrna experience.
First, purchase a special glass from the vending machine. The price of the glass includes four 2 dl pours. Then, choose one of the four taps and pour yourself natural, chilled, lightly carbonated chilled, or carbonated chilled thermal water. You can compare the versions immediately or return later to the drinking fountain during a walk through the Spa Park.
All four taps provide Dobrna thermal water. They differ in temperature and the amount of bubbles, so you can choose the taste and sensation that suits you best.
The direct taste of the thermal source, without cooling or added bubbles.
A chilled version for a more refreshing stop on warmer days.
Chilled thermal water with gentle bubbles and a lighter feel.
Chilled thermal water with more pronounced bubbles for a livelier refreshment.
